
In this NPA pharmacy you will...
1. Be able to speak to a qualified
pharmacist about any medicines or health care matters in confidence and, if
necessary, in private.
2. Find a comprehensive range of
prescription and non-prescription medicines. When you ask for a
non-prescription medicine, we may have to ask you a few questions to ensure that
it is the best one for you.
3. Have your prescription dispensed
promplty by, or under the supervision of, a qualified pharmacist. (If you
occasionally have to wait, this means that we are taking as much care with
someone else's prescription as will take with yours!)
4. Have a record of your medicines kept on
our computer system in complete confidence.
5. Be given information about prescriptiona
and non-prescription medicines, inlcuding advice on how to take or use them,
possible side effects and any precautions which you might need to
take.
6. Be given advice about the treatment of
common ailments, or be advised to speak to your doctor if the pharmacist
considers it appropriate.
7. Be given advice and information about
healthy living, including giving up smoking and diet.
8. Be told if you can buy a prescribed
medicine at a lower price than NHS prescription charges.
9. Be served by courteous, polite and
well-trained staff.
10. Find a clean, tidy, safe and pleasant
environment.
